I've had EXCELLENT Dobies in the past. I have always had GERMAN bred dogs, with a nice full body. I only take German lines because American lines can have so much of an impurity when it comes to its genetics, genes, and hereditary assets. My Dobermans were all trained to do Schutzhund and Obedience. ALL MY dogs were at least titled in Schutzhund 2, with at least a CDX and a TD title in AKC.

My greatest achievement with a Dobie of mine was our Schutzhund iii title, and an OTCH right after finishing his Championship title in the breed ring. I think if you own a dog, get it to do a job he was bred to do, and I only consider the "bright" and highly intelligent dobermans to do AT LEAST schutzhund and obedience.

I would love to show what real agility is any day! Thats if you and your doberman think you can keep up =)

Ummmm PinaryTiger makes her own equimpeemt. She has better equimpent then me that I bought.

He is started on scent discrimination and has been doing agility for about 5 months now, but is a good dog nonetheless. And from all the trials I have been to, all the activities I have seen, attended, and participated in (as a stewardess in AKC obedience trials, etc.), BORDER COLLIES HAVE ALWAYS SURPASSED DOBERMANS in MANY things. I know a Red Dawn Border Collie that took HIGH honors at a Schutzhund tournament once too, beating the Malanois, Dobies, and GSDs.
