man. border collies have alot of energy. if the lady isnt gonna accept responsibility for the type of og she got. then she shouldnt have got that type of dog. some people are so stupid. border collies are natural jumpers. its a shame seeing a dog with some good jump potential put to waste.

i started out very impressed with Cesar. But the more i see, i have to admit, the less i'm impressed. Yes, you must establish Alpha status. Yes, *sometimes* you have to *speak dog* to your dog. But ultimately i think it's up to us as HUMANS to not behave like dogs and find a more intelligent way. I've trained my BC to behave without physical force. Not easy, but possible.

My opinion: I would clicker train the dog (find out how online - quite simple) and relax on the sofa with her beside you. I would ignore all licking and then click the clicker the minute she stops. I would then reward her with your

Its total logic. I've watched alot of Caesar. Everything he says makes sense. He is absolutely awesome. There is NO dog he can't rehabilitate.

Actually, I have an oversized Golden retreiver (I think he fell into the hormone induced cow feed at the farm) THe Haltie worked miracles the first time I put it on. It just works, period. Now, I only have the collar, but the dog learned with the haltie

BTW shes a leetle bit over weight.not much but anyway...

Great video. I have a female border collie too who has another type of thing I still have yet to figure out: She is an incessant licker. I love my Bailey, but she almost needs to be scolded to get her to stop licking. Hmmmm anyone have any ideas? I'm going to post a video of her soon.

That's like saying us English need to communicate in English to Italians (no pun intended). Of course, eventually, Italians might learn a few of our words, but it's much more effective to communicate to them in Italian!!

Cesar, Is the New Bruce Lee, but working with Dogs!

Cesar Millan, and the producers of the show, have stated in interviews, the only editing that is done is Cesar, talking to the owners, everything else does not get edited.

Like Cesar said Domination in the dogs world is Healthy! You can't let your dog walk all over you.. As the PaCK LEADER you have be calm dominate and respected! Cesar uses touch which is what the dogs need.. He taps them on the side occasionally to bring them back to reality.. I'm tired of these people slandering Cesar!

Much of the Positive Reinforcement techniques do nothing but reinforce bad behavior... Cesar's techniques are stern and forceful! I have no problem with Cesar bringing a red zone dog back to reality!

They don't have any reason to lie about what Cesar, does. The crew get surprised when they don't think he'll be able to fix the dog, then he shows them, when he does fix the dog.

yes, all of the owners in the show are the same, they treat dogs like people, u have to treat a dog like a dog, otherwise u get one of those crazy dogs that think they are the leaders. she thought that by touching the dog with her feet was abusive, this is exactly what i'm talking about

EXACTLY!!! My big Golden knows who's the boss, and once that was established, he learned the commands. Also, it takes patience. Mine is a male and we got him from a farm at a young age. but he went from total freedom to a house with kids. It took a long time to get him to listen, but at 2 1/2 he behaves like a pro!

It takes time, patience, and a genuine love for your BC, because, truth be told, they are the smartest and best traind dogs by far. if you have a BC and treating him/her like a lap dog, you are doing the animal a grave injustice. They need mental stimulation as well as physical. If you can't handle this breed, then do both of you a favor and give them to a human that understands the dog, has the time to give to the dog, and watch how they shine.

My dog: her previous owners wanted a BC because they're cute, smart, fast and agile.
But they failed to educate themselves on how much energy, thought, patience and innovation must go into training a BC...so they gave her up, and i'm the lucky new owner...and she's great.
She learns most tricks on one or two attempts.
I led her around the perimeter of our property a couple of times, now she doesn't set foot off of it unless i authorize it. She's awesome.
